A beautiful natural coral ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This lovely?piece has?an artistic design that reflects its Chinese origin. At the center is an un-dyed?coral plaque, which is intricately hand-carved?with a cheerful flower?motif. Delicate cutouts form the shapes of?individual flower petals. The spun silver mounting displays an intricate filigree pattern, complete with lacy swirls and spirals. Stamped inside the setting are 3 small hallmarks, which include "CHINA," "SILVER," and the symbol of a crawling bug. A fabulous statement piece, this stylish ring rests high above the finger and is perfect for any coral lover!?
Measurements:?The ring has a finger size of 7.25, but could be resized if needed. The oval-shaped coral plaque measures 3/4" tall and 1/2" wide. The elevated centerpiece rests approximately 1/2" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 3mm wide at the back.
Condition:?The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the spun silver?setting?or to the natural carved coral?plaque. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic of antique and vintage jewelry.
